Beijing, Shanghai, Boston, July 20, 2026 – Jacobio Pharma (1167.HK) today announced that its internally discovered BET inhibitor JAB-8263 for the treatment of myelofibrosis (MF) has been officially included in the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE)'s Rare Disease Innovative Drug Development Pilot Program.
The "Rare Disease Innovative Drug Development Pilot Program" is designed to encourage the development of innovative therapies for rare diseases with significant unmet medical needs. Through an early engagement and tailored regulatory approach, the program facilitates communication between sponsors and the CDE to support efficient clinical development.
JAB-8263 is a novel BET inhibitor discovered by Jacobio and is currently under clinical development in China for the treatment of myelofibrosis. Its inclusion in the "Rare Disease Innovative Drug Development Pilot Program" will further strengthen interactions with the CDE during clinical development, support the development of JAB-8263 for myelofibrosis, and help accelerate the delivery of a potential new treatment option for patients.
Myelofibrosis is a rare myeloproliferative neoplasm with significant unmet medical needs. Inclusion in the " Rare Disease Innovative Drug Development Pilot Program" reflects the regulatory recognition of JAB-8263's innovative potential and is expected to further support Jacobio's development efforts in hematologic malignancies.
